About Me
I am a Severo Ochoa Postdoctoral Fellow at the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas (ICMAT) in Madrid, Spain, where I work under the supervision of Piergiulio Tempesta. In November 2026 I will take part in the Iliad Intensive in London.
My research focuses on integrable and superintegrable systems, particularly their behavior in the presence of magnetic fields, using the framework of Haantjes and Nijenhuis geometry. I study separation of variables, differential geometry approaches to classical and quantum mechanics, and geometric structures underlying integrable systems.
I completed my PhD in Mathematical Physics at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague in September 2024, under the supervision of Libor Šnobl and Antonella Marchesiello. My doctoral thesis, which received the Rector's Award for Excellent Doctoral Thesis 2025, focused on integrability and superintegrability in the presence of magnetic fields.
Alongside my research, I work on AI safety, mainly on mathematical problems in verifying how compute is used, as needed for international agreements on AI. My first piece in this direction is Proof of useful work for verifying AI treaties, a literature review with a list of open problems. I volunteer with PauseAI CZ, where I write the weekly newsletter Pozastavení nad AI on developments in AI policy and safety. Earlier posts on my personal Substack (also collected, with better-rendered equations, under Writing) discuss AI's growing role in mathematical research, AI in Mathematics, 2026: From Assistant to Top Researcher, and an AI-safety research agenda from a mathematician's perspective, ARC's research agenda: solid mathematics, an unclear safety case.
